Janakpur tour is a trip to sacred birthplace of the Hindu goddess Sita. It is one of the very popular temple having religious significance among Hindus. Janakpur used to be the capital city of the Mithila region as depicted by sacred text Ramayan. Janakpur still has preserved its Mithila culture and the Janaki temple.

Janakpur tour is a visit to oldest historical cities lying at the central Terai in Nepal. The famous temple Janaki was dedicated to goddess Sita who was a divine lady and wife Ram. Ram is said to be the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Every year, millions of devotees come here to pay their tribute to Lord Ram and Sita. ‘Bibaha Panchami’ is a popular festival which commemorates the marriage of the two epical characters mentioned above. Janakpur tour will take you to popular places of tourist attraction in the city.

Itinerary


    • Days 1: ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU
      We will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel in Thamel. You can rest or explore Thamel and prepare for flight to Janakpur.
    • Days 2: KATHMANDU – JANAKPUR
      After breakfast, transfer to domestic Airport for fly to Janakpur. (Flight duration 30 mins). Arrive in Janakpur. Visit Dhanushdham. Evening, attend Aarati in Janaki Temple. Overnight is at Hotel in Janakpur.
    • Days 3: JANAKPUR – KATHMANDU
      Morning, visit Janaki Temple, Bibaha Mandap, Ram Mandir. Fly back to Kathmandu. Arrive and transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day is free for individual activities. Or you can stroll around the Thamel market. Overnight is at Hotel in Kathmandu.
    • Days 4: DEPARTURE
      Today marks and end of our Janakpur tour. You can continue joining other tours or prepare for your departure.
